Serving Keller and Nearby DFW

A Keller estate with vehicles or equipment needs its titles found early. We handle the rest of the estate in the same walkthrough.

Find the ownership documents before discussing any sale of titled property. Look in the estate's files, the glove box, and any safe or lockbox. Gather titles, registrations, lien papers, service records, spare fobs, and anything showing the item belonged to the deceased.

Then ask the estate's attorney whether the estate may transfer ownership and what that requires. That is a legal question, not a sales one. Meanwhile, we walk the house and the outbuildings, set keepsakes aside, and price the rest: the jewelry, the coin collection, the sterling, the shop full of tools. We buy outright or send standout pieces to private auction.

Originals stay with the estate

Copy everything you gather. Keep the original titles with the estate's authorized representative, not in the vehicle and not with anyone you have not verified.

If a lender still holds a lien, note the lender's name and the account reference on your copy. The attorney will need it, and so will any buyer.

Authority first, condition second

Confirm who signs and what the transfer needs before spending money on repairs or inspections. Then decide whether a condition check helps the sale of that particular vehicle or machine.

The rest of the estate, in the same visit

Titles take time, and the house does not have to wait for them. While the paperwork is sorted out, we walk the rooms, set keepsakes aside and price the jewelry, silver, art and furniture. The family can settle the contents and leave the vehicles for a second step.

Equipment gets a proper look

Mowers, welders, compressors and table saws are not garage junk by default. Photograph the model plates, note missing parts, and describe the condition. That gives us more than a view from the doorway, and it keeps working equipment out of the scrap pile.

This site offers general process information, not legal or tax advice. For questions about authority, title, or taxes, consult a qualified attorney or advisor.
