How We Approach a Whole Estate

We buy whole estates across Dallas-Fort Worth and run private auctions for the best pieces. Here is how we work, and why.

An estate goes wrong when it gets handled out of order. A hauler shows up before anyone opens the desk drawers. The silver goes to the first dealer who calls. A Rolex leaves the house in a donation bag. We work the other way round.

We review the whole estate first, every room, closet and drawer, plus any storage unit or safe deposit box, and treat it as one job. Then we show you two ways to sell: we buy the contents ourselves, or we take the best pieces to private auction. Many estates use both. The family chooses. That order is the heart of our estate evaluation approach.

Why we buy and auction under one roof

A company that only buys has every reason to buy. A company that only auctions has every reason to consign. We do both, so steering you gains us nothing. A sterling flatware service in its chest sells well to us outright. A signed Texas painting or a piece of Asian porcelain brings more in front of collectors. We tell you which is which.

Keepsakes first, then the scope in writing

Before we name a number, the family sets aside photographs, papers, and anything with a story attached. We help you find them. Then the scope goes on paper: what we buy, what goes to auction, what stays, and when the work happens. Nothing leaves until you sign off, and with a purchase or private auction no public sale ever happens at the house.

What we leave to others

We do not give legal or tax advice. We buy contents, not real estate, and anything touching the property itself needs its own written agreement. A piece that calls for a second opinion gets one before we price it. When you are ready, get in touch or request an evaluation.
